ANATAS Launches its SOA Practice
ANATAS is proud to announce the launch of its Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) Practice which is being facilitated through workshops across Australia.
ANATAS’ SOA Practice Lead, Paul O’Connor, a published subject matter expert in SOA, held SOA workshops across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Clients attending these workshops included 9 of Australia’s largest corporations from the Financial Services, Telecommunications, Transport and Government sectors. The series of workshops addressed ways in which SOA can maximize the business value of IT through ensuring total integration and effective internal operations.
Specifically, the role of integration in the achievement of management and governance from internal operations was an issue shared by the majority of clients participating in the workshops.
“The workshops delved into concerns that a substantial gap exists between business and IT in current business practice. Whilst this area of concern was shared by a select group of clients, it is a substantial issue that deserves equal attention. It is imperative for businesses to close this knowledge gap if they are to maximize business value of IT.” said Mr O’Connor at the conclusion of the week.
The workshops provided further insight into the fast pace of technology and its domestic application by Australian enterprises.
Paul O’Connor believes that “Australia’s open approach to addressing the core problems of enterprise architecture and organisational change as an inhibitor to success gives such companies a leading edge, not just domestically, but on a global scale.”
Brad Twynham the CEO and founder of ANATAS states quite openly that there is so much hype associated with SOA at present. “What our clients are looking for is a no nonsense, nuts and bolt’s approach that can separate what is real from what is hype. ANATAS has invested heavily in bringing Paul out here because he not only talks the talk but he has already completed a number of en masse SOA enablement projects with some of the largest organisations in the world.” Mr Twynham goes on to say:
“Not only can ANATAS talk about SOA we can also claim we have the experience in house that can role an SOA strategy out within a large organisation. It is ANATAS’ goal to position itself as not only a thought leader in the implementation of SOA strategy and projects but a consulting firm that through experience can guide our clients from experience.”
